Laura is a skillful, experienced , and deeply committed healing arts practitioner. She has been in private practice as a wholistic bodyworker and body-centered therapist since 1985, weaving energetic bodywork, movement and sound therapies, and body-centered counseling. She is a Certified Zero Balancer, Polarity Therapy Professional, Craniosacral Therapist, Nationally Certified Massage Therapist, Registered Somatic Movement Therapist, and Authentic Movement teacher.
In addition to private practice Laura also teaches classes and workshops in Authentic Movement and Somatic Movement Therapy. She is a lover of music, the natural world, taking care of the body as temple, and walking gently on the planet. Laura has been playing folk guitar and singing since her teens, and enjoys leading song circles.
Laura has a passion for guiding others inward to access healing in subtle body-centered ways that are often missed amidst the busyness and outer focus of everyday life. As body wisdom reveals itself through touch and movement, layers of the physical, mental, and emotional bodies are integrated within a spiritual and energetic context. Laura regards the healing journey as sacred and brings a deep respect for healthy relationship, loving touch, and creative expression to her work. Her interactive facilitation style emphasizes presence, self-engagement, embodiment, and authenticity as foundational to healing. Her long-term studies in the healing arts reflect a deep commitment to both personal and planetary healing.
Laura lives with her husband Roy Gottlieb, D.C. in Gloucester, MA.
