Chanting, toning, sounding, and singing are as old as humankind itself. The creative river of human voice flows naturally from breath into sound and song. As we learn to listen with loving attention to our own and others’ voices in a safe supportive environment our sacred connection with ourselves, each other, and the planet deepens.
Laura studied Spirit Song with Mary Elizabeth Wheeler and Shawna Carol and completed Indigo River Teacher Training with Mary Elizabeth in 1995 in Lincoln, MA. This authentic voice practice frees the voice as we learn to follow the breath into sound and sound into song. She has been singing and playing folk guitar since she was 16. Laura loves singing with others and leading song circles.
Laura is also Level 1 Certified in Acutonics and enjoys exploring how tuning forks, Himalayan singing bowls, and the human voice resonate and balance the body-mind-energy system.
She has also taught Music Together, an early education program for young children and their caregivers.
